Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm, is descended from an ancient lineage of African priestesses who have white hair, blue eyes, and the potential to use magic. Born Ororo Munroe, her mother, was the princess of a tribe in Kenya who married an American photojournalist, David Munroe, and moved with him to Manhattan, where Ororo was born. At six months old, she and her parents moved to Cairo, Egypt, and at age five, a plane crash and destroyed their home. Ororo's parents were killed, but she survived. She grew up an orphan and was a thief on the streets of Cairo in her childhood. As an adult, she was recruited by Professor X and became one of the most important members of the X-Men. Ororo is an Omega level mutant. One of her main sources of power is the Earth's electromagnetic field, she has the power to manipulate water, over wind and  electromagnetics.
