Miniature electric locomotive GE 5200 VANDECA, FEPASA, Phase II, in 1:87 scale - HO.
Approximate length: 19 cm.
This was the first electric locomotive designed and built in Brazil at General Electric do Brasil workshops, in Campinas, São Paulo. 10 units were produced for the Cia. Paulista de Estradas de Ferro (CPEF), in 1967, with a gauge of 1.60 m, power of 5130 HP and weight of 144 tons. Painted in the traditional blue and cream CPEF scheme, they were numbered 350 to 359. His inaugural trip took place on May 6, 1967 with the presence of the then governor of the state of São Paulo, Laudo Natel. As always happened with all the locomotives of our railroads, in which each one received a nickname inspired by scenes or characters of the time, this one was nicknamed "Vandeca", in homage to the singer Vanderléa, belonging to the movement called "young guard" ", headed by Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos. In 1971 they passed to FEPASA where they were renumbered from 6351 to 6360 and gradually were painted in the FEPASA phase I scheme. Later, they received the colors red and black with the white inscriptions, from phase II. None of them received the gray paint, from phase III of FEPASA.
